Melting / Milling
VIOX implemented preproduction verification with lab melting / milling & characterization,
melting in platinum crucibles (acid cleaned to prevent cross contamination), appropriate
selection of raw materials, careful batching procedure, careful melt control, appropriate
quenching depending upon glass, closed system for water frit casting/prepacking,
and quality powder processing.
Testing
Testing capabilities include In-House Analytical Support, TG/DTA, Powder Particle
Size Distribution, Surface Area, Moisture Content, Dielectric Constant and Loss
Tangent, Quality Control of Critical Characteristics, and Statistical Process Control
(SPC).
Custom Engineering Glass
Glass Formula Development includes: Composition engineering to meet customer requirements,
Development phase partnering, Scale up melting, Range of furnace sizes for scale
up: 18 liter to 186 liter.
Other Capabilities
Other Capabilities includes the ability to handle heavy metal oxides and other toxic
materials, and to operate to all applicable environmental and safety regulations.
